Let’s talk about the inability to regulate gambling!

Reckless decisions often lead to disaster, and this is certainly the case in the Philippine offshore gambling industry, where companies have mushroomed across the country in the past few years. However, as the gambling regulator, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is powerless to do anything about the many economic and social crimes caused by gambling, even though the government earns billions of pesos from offshore gambling companies.

There are many factors that contribute to the loss of revenue for the Philippine government. Our legislators often spend hours investigating problematic taxes. The Philippine Entertainment and Gaming Corporation is to blame for this as it lacks adequate supervision of the entire gaming process.
