Just arrived in New Zealand and had to prepare breakfast for the kids, ended up buying a bunch of stuff at a supermarket. Everyone says that milk and fruits are cheap here, but every time you add a few slices of bread, biscuits, and ham, it costs over a hundred. If you're in a tourist mindset, such expenses are normal, where don't you pay a learning fee? But it's different with a mindset of accompanying a student, you can tolerate the family's randomness for a week upon landing, but living here for 9 months, you can't eat $17 Italian pasta or have a $200 KFC meal every day! Honestly, in the first 2 days in Auckland, my meal costs were steadily over a thousand.

So expensive, didn't you check in advance?
