The merchants near the southern forest in Alabang are really impressive. Being new to Alabang, I couldn't tell if the restaurant had a Chinese chef or was run by Filipinos. The shredded potatoes were cooked until they were like mashed potatoes, falling apart as soon as you picked them up, and the twice-cooked pork had no flavor at all, it felt like eating meat fried with soy sauce.
