Is it safe to travel to Mexico? I've wanted to go to the Yucatan Peninsula for a long time, but my friends don't really recommend it. Can anyone who has been there give me some advice?

Do not go to Vermont, because I think it's terrible.
This place is much safer than most downtown areas in the United States.
