I got my 9G visa downgraded in early August (I have all the downgrade papers, and my passport has been stamped). This month, I am preparing to clear customs and return to the country. I contacted a company that agreed to handle the ECC clearance for eight thousand pesos. Later, they made an excuse that I have an active ACR that hasn't been canceled, requiring me to pay an additional 25,000 pesos to cancel the ACR, and then another 15,000 pesos to handle a lost ACR certificate before proceeding. Do I have no choice but to let them exploit me?
