Yangon is a city that feels very quiet. Yesterday, when I went through customs, I wasn't asked for a tip. When paying for a taxi in dollars, they calculate it at 1 dollar to 5000 Burmese kyat, while the official exchange rate is over 2000 kyat per dollar. The Shwedagon Pagoda is impressive. There's not much to buy in Chinatown, but there's plenty to eat and drink. Although it looks unhygienic, it actually didn't upset my stomach.
