On April 20th, I visited a property with the broker from Hippo Real Estate and paid a deposit of 38,000. In the evening, I asked him to negotiate with the landlord to change the terms from a deposit of 2 months with 3 months advance to 1 month deposit with 4 months advance. However, he then told me that I now needed to pay 40,000 to rent the place.
Since I was urgently looking for a place and the money was already in their hands, I reluctantly agreed to rent it, but I didn't realize that this was just the beginning of a nightmare.
Due to a business trip, I had arranged to move in on May 1st. However, on that day, there was no water supply. They told me that it was a holiday in the Philippines, so the water couldn't be turned on. On May 2nd, in my one-bedroom apartment, they provided a very small refrigerator, and the washing machine and other amenities were not yet installed. Everything was finally set up by May 8th, and the contract started from that date.
Now, here comes the main issue.
On the night of October 13th, the electricity suddenly went out,
and after asking the property management to fix it, it went out again on the night of October 14th.
On October 15th, I called the property management again to repair it, and they explained that a water leak in the building had caused water to seep into the electrical panel, causing the power outage. They then needed to dismantle the wall and asked me to contact the landlord. I immediately informed the property management of the situation and sought the landlord's approval to begin the work. However, since the water had not yet dried, the electricity could not be restored. I asked the broker what should be done.
He said that the landlord would ask the property management to come and check again the next day, but then there was no follow-up.

Update: After learning this information, the landlord gave me another property, 16B22, to move into at night. However, when I opened the door in the evening, I found out that not only had I been given a room, but also several roommates to share it with. What a mess.

Update: The property management came to repair the electrical circuit, and then the agent informed the property management that since it was still not dry, the power could not be restored. They gave me the key to 07B07 and asked me to temporarily stay there. Upon opening the door of 07B07, I found t
The person who entrusts their house to Hippo Real Estate really has great trust.

It's really ridiculous stuff.
