When in the Philippines, you must not play with your phone while riding a jeepney!

It was after 7 PM, and I was on my way home in a jeepney, stuck in heavy traffic.

The vehicle was packed with passengers, and the weather was very hot. Moreover, everyone was sitting face to face, knee to knee, shoulder to shoulder, making it feel even hotter.

At such times, people tend to let their guard down, and almost everyone was engrossed in their phones. I too pulled out my phone to read an e-book, and as I read, I started to feel sleepy. Suddenly, someone pushed me hard from behind, and I instinctively jumped up, my heart leaping to my throat.

Then, the woman sitting to my left held her head in her hands and began to sob quietly.

The carriage instantly became noisy, with everyone talking at once.
