Can you really stay in a rental house that costs 5,000 or less? Is it safe? Has anyone rented before? Or anyone with experience in this area, please share. I'm not renting, I just want to know.
In my impression, the cheapest rent should be at least 5,000 pesos (I've seen ones over 2,000, but I think if you're not really out of money, you shouldn't force yourself to live there). But when I looked online, I found that many places costing 5k are also very run-down. The barely passable ones are also quite small and poorly located.
Imagine a Chinese person renting in such a dilapidated area in the Philippines, would they always be harassed? I think for foreigners, or girls living alone, it's best not to choose such places.
Also, in Manila, 5,000 mostly just rents a bed space, right? There are very few single rooms.

I'm curious, how much is the cheapest rent in Manila?

I have stayed in the cheapest 15000.
30000 RMB per month
The cheapest? That would of course be the free ones.
How many thousands of RMB can buy a civilian house?

15,000

It might be possible, we need to look for it. After all, people have left and the housing prices have become cheaper.
