Here, opportunities and money are everywhere, but they are prepared for those who have already been through hell in their own country, so they can thrive here. I arrived here in June.
Having served a few years in the military and spent some time at Shaolin Temple, I followed a boss here in Southeast Asia. Initially, I found this place very beautiful, filled with the scent of money. I thought that by working hard here, I could make a fortune and return home wealthy. In October, drinking by the seaside changed everything for me. I was taken to play cards, perhaps I got carried away or maybe my suppressed gambling nature was released that day. At the casino, I cashed out $75,000.
Within three hours, I lost everything, not a penny left. I had no choice but to confess to my boss. He was kind and bailed me out without holding a grudge, allowing me to continue working with him. Every day, I reminded myself that I had no more chances; I couldn't gamble anymore. If I followed the boss and worked hard, I could quickly get back on track. Until yesterday, my dream was shattered. After drinking, I drove the boss home. Lying in bed, unable to sleep, my mind wandered, and I drove out again, doing the same thing. After losing all the money in my bag, I started to panic, not knowing how to explain to my boss.
Then I cashed out again, undoubtedly losing everything cleanly. From yesterday until now, I'm still detained in the casino. In this one day, I've really come to understand a lot. Cambodia is also a beautiful paradise on earth, but equally a deep hell. Those who can control themselves thrive here, while those who can't suffer immensely.
Finally, a word of advice to those thinking of gambling to make money: wake up. No matter how deep you've fallen, as long as there's still a chance to turn back, do so. Don't end up like me, completely without a way back, even unable to see the sun anymore. Please bear with my limited level of education.
If I ever get the chance, I will never come back to Southeast Asia in this lifetime. This place is a living hell.

I can't control myself and have to spend money wherever I go.
They make money so easily, what do they rely on to earn money?
All muscle and no brain, haha.
These high-interest loans are specifically targeting people like you.
This is Southeast Asia, not your home.
With such a boss, if you still let him down, you deserve it.
Poor self-control should not harm others.
