On the China-Myanmar border, the owners of 86 online scam operations and 92 gambling venues in districts such as Mujie City, Shuangshao, Guangmulei, Industrial Zone, Mingjialamu Mujie, Haona, and Guangnao were summoned by the Chief and Deputy Chief of Mujie City Police, Nai Yushan, and other officers. They were allowed to continue their operations after an increase in protection fees.
Small gambling venues (accommodating 15 people) are required to pay a protection fee of 6.5 million Myanmar Kyat, while large gambling venues (accommodating more than 25 people) are required to pay 15 million Myanmar Kyat. Now, the protection fee for gambling venues accommodating more than 25 people has been adjusted to 10 million Myanmar Kyat, and for those accommodating more than 50 people, the fee has been adjusted to 25 million Myanmar Kyat.
Each Chinese technician operating online scams is also required to pay an additional 3000 yuan (approximately 2 million Myanmar Kyat) per month.
After increasing the protection fee, the Myanmar police allowed 86 online scam operations and 92 gambling venues to continue their business.

Awesome

……

This is quite bizarre.

You have to pay a protection fee per person, work visa? Hahaha.

Isn't this equivalent to a license? The small workshop is really cutting corners.

The police and the robbers are in cahoots.
