Expose a malicious intermediary, so everyone avoids falling into the trap.

At first, I came into contact with a nice Taiwanese person (a middleman) who quoted me a visa downgrade fee of 18,000+ and a customs clearance fee of 4,500. At that time, I didn't know that the intermediary he worked with was so unscrupulous.

The unscrupulous intermediary was very inefficient in handling the visa downgrade. I gave them my passport in September, and by mid-October, it still wasn't processed. Not only were they slow, but the unscrupulous intermediary also took advantage of people's eagerness to return home, deliberately lying that there would be a new policy from the immigration bureau after October 15. They claimed that all POGO visa holders who hadn't completed their visa downgrade by October 15 would need to undergo OTL+NBI, which delayed me for another half month, preventing me from going home and causing me to waste two flight tickets. I repeatedly asked the unscrupulous intermediary for a price, but they kept dragging their feet and didn't give me a quote.

Finally, the day before I could leave the country, the unscrupulous intermediary demanded 57,000P outright.

I asked, "How did you come up with this price?" He replied, "Because I have OTL, it's more expensive."

I said, "My visa hasn't expired, and I haven't stayed for over five years, why should it be so expensive?"

The unscrupulous intermediary then immediately changed his tune: "Then just give me 37,000P."

I asked him to provide a detailed breakdown of the costs, which was later provided by another person (they were father and son). Turns out, knowing that I was relying on OTL, they deliberately shifted the costs to NBI. Handling NBI by oneself costs less than 200P, but they, father and son, directly demanded 15,000P. I even suspect there was no duplicate name issue; they just intentionally charged me this fee. In the end, I paid 34,000P to them.

I originally thought that this intermediary's fee for visa downgrading was cheaper than others, but it turned out to be even more expensive in the end! (Including the loss of two flight tickets and the additional living expenses incurred from staying half a month longer.)

Although the POGO incident has come to an end, I still want to remind all the wandering children out there to avoid unscrupulous businesses.
