Chinese actor Wang Xing, who went missing at the Thai-Myanmar border and was later rescued, was reported to have a document filled out by families of 174 trapped Myanmar individuals, titled "National Joint Rescue of 174 'Stars' Trapped in Myanmar."
According to Red Star News, Wang Xing, known by his stage name "Star," went missing last week during a trip to Thailand. On Tuesday (January 7), the Thai government located him in Myanmar and brought him back. On the same day, within a mutual aid group of 487 family members of people trapped in Myanmar, the group leader used an online document to collect information about the trapped individuals. When the news of Wang Xing's rescue was shared in the group, 174 family members filled out the document, which was eventually named "National Joint Rescue of 174 'Stars' Trapped in Myanmar."
Wang Xing was lured to Thailand for filming and went missing last Friday (January 3). The Thai government announced on Tuesday that they had found him in Myanmar and subsequently brought him back to Thailand.
A video from Thai media shows Wang Xing being interviewed by the media with Thai officials accompanying him. He thanked the Thai government in Mandarin and said, "Thailand is very safe, I will come back again."
This video circulated on the Chinese internet, and many netizens were skeptical, believing that Wang Xing was still in shock and his statement was to express gratitude to the Thai government. Some netizens also pointed out that traveling to Thailand for tourism and seeking employment are two different matters, considering Thailand generally safe for tourism.

After Wang Xing was rescued, the families of 174 Chinese nationals trapped in Myanmar jointly called for help.
