The head of the intelligence department of the Bureau of Immigration, Fortunato Manahan Jr., reported that on the evening of January 17, arrested foreigners were found engaging in online gaming and scam activities in a building within the Aseana enclave in Parañaque City.
The Bureau of Immigration arrested 20 Chinese, 11 Malaysians, and 1 Cambodian after monitoring illegal activities (including romance scams) within its building.
This operation was coordinated with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Joel Anthony Viado, the Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration, commended these actions and stated that they will continue to intensify efforts to combat illegal online gambling companies.
Viado said, "This serves as a warning to those foreigners who blatantly continue their illegal activities despite the presidential ban." He warned, "We will not stop until all illegal foreigners are arrested and deported."
The Bureau of Immigration stated that more arrests and deportations are expected following the nationwide ban on online gambling operations by the president.
These 32 foreigners will remain under the actual custody of the NBI while undergoing the Bureau of Immigration's deportation proceedings.

BI agents arrested 32 illegal online gambling workers in another raid in Parañaque City.
