A Taiwanese man was found dead in his dormitory in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The police initially concluded that his death was caused by a cardiac arrest due to drug use. The deceased was identified as Day Pang Wei, born on September 17, 1986. Around 11:15 PM on January 19, he was found dead in room 302 of a building on Hanoi Road in the Sen Sok district of Phnom Penh.
According to his roommate, Day had been heavily drinking for the past two days. On the evening of January 19, at about 11:15 PM, the roommate returned from work, used his key card to open the door, and found Day lying on the bed with no signs of life, prompting him to call the police.
The police report indicated that the urine test results showed the presence of methamphetamine and amphetamine in his system, leading to the preliminary conclusion that his death was caused by the consumption of drugs like methamphetamine, resulting in sudden cardiac arrest.
Currently, Day's body is being kept at the Detara Temple, awaiting family members to claim it.
