Philippines once again witnesses a daylight street kidnapping incident.

On January 25, 2025, a Saturday evening, a kidnapping incident targeting Chinese nationals occurred in the area of C-6 Road in Taytay, Rizal Province, Philippines. Reports indicate that the victims included a Chinese woman and a child, with the incident occurring between approximately 8:20 and 8:30 PM.

According to a traffic announcement released earlier that day, the section of C-6 Road was once severely congested due to a hostage-taking incident, and police and relevant departments were dispatched to handle the situation. This kidnapping case is suspected to be related to the hostage situation that evening.

In fact, according to past data, 99% of kidnapping cases in the Philippines have never been exposed. In recent years, kidnappings targeting Chinese nationals have occurred frequently, highlighting the severe security situation in the Philippines. Especially in certain areas, foreigners need to be vigilant and avoid falling into dangerous situations.
