According to news from the Thai-Myanmar border, the Border Guard Force (BGF) under the Myanmar military government plans to transfer 61 foreigners involved in scam activities in the Myawaddy area to Thailand, including 39 Chinese citizens.
These foreigners are reportedly trafficked by online money laundering gangs to locations such as Wang Pha, Myawaddy, and KK Park, and were forced to engage in illegal activities. In addition to Chinese citizens, the transfer list also includes:

This transfer operation follows the announcement by the Chinese government of cooperation with the Thai government to combat transnational cybercrime, aimed at rescuing victimized Chinese citizens and further eradicating the scam industry chain in Southeast Asia.
It is reported that these foreigners will be screened and transferred via the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge (Bridge 1), and received by the Thai side. The Deputy Minister of Public Security of China is expected to personally go to Mae Sot, Thailand, on January 29 to supervise and coordinate the transfer work.
