China's Ministry of Public Security senior officials reveal: Myawaddy has 36 Chinese scam groups, employing over 100,000 people.

Recently, the incident of Chinese artist Wang Xing being rescued from a scam park in Myanmar has attracted international attention. Thai media reported that Liu Zhongyi, the Deputy Minister of Public Security of China, met with the Thai government on January 27 and for the first time acknowledged that there are 36 large-scale telecom fraud groups operated by Chinese in Myawaddy, Myanmar, employing over 100,000 people.

According to reports, Liu Zhongyi pointed out that many Chinese citizens were lured or kidnapped to Myanmar to engage in scam activities within these criminal groups, with some victims even being beaten to death.

The Chinese Ministry of Public Security has urged the Thai Bureau of Cybercrime Investigation to take swift action to arrest the leaders of the scam groups currently hiding in Thailand, and to apprehend about 20 suspects involved in the kidnapping case of Wang Xing, and strive to extradite them back to China.

This disclosure further confirms the massive scale of the telecom fraud groups in the Myawaddy area of Myanmar, and the Chinese government has intensified efforts to combat transnational scam crimes, with more actions targeting the scam industry chain expected to unfold.

If Miaowadi is taken down, these scam groups will definitely move to countries like the Philippines, UAE, Indonesia, and Laos, an industry that can't be killed.

Despite so many anti-fraud campaigns each year, the fraud syndicates continue to grow, resulting in more fraudsters than police officers.

The scam syndicate in Myanmar is estimated to have a GDP stronger than the economies of some small countries, truly impressive.

Mawlamyine has a government, warlords, and armed protection; it's not something that can be swept away easily.
