I just completed a basic Java course and am still at a beginner level, but I'm looking into opportunities abroad to see if the compensation might be better than in my home country.
Recently, I've seen quite a few job postings for engineers in the gambling industry in Thailand and Cambodia. Some companies explicitly state they are willing to hire beginners, which seems quite appealing. However, I've heard that many companies use fake names on job sites, keep their information highly confidential, and you might not know the full details of the company until you've actually flown over and entered their office. It would be really frustrating to arrive and find out it's an unlicensed, illegitimate company.
I've already done some online interviews with a few companies, but no matter how impressive they sound, I can't really tell if they're legitimate. Some even have such a sincere atmosphere during the chat that I wonder if it's a kind of "reverse psychology," intentionally letting one's guard down.
I would like to ask for advice from those with more experience on how to filter for reliable companies. Are there any tips to avoid potential pitfalls? Would using an agency provide more security?
I found the PASA website on Google and came here to ask!

Go to Thailand and Cambodia and just wish yourself good luck.

Pay attention to safety.

Check if there are any acquaintances to introduce.
Why don't you just ask for the company name right here?

Let me put it this way, the head's AG and Kering are all kinds of mess, not to mention other small companies, I suggest if you have a choice, don't enter this industry.
Just asking

If you don't even know the company's name, don't go.

Want to feel good without using a condom, but afraid of becoming a father.
Is there also a mistake in asking?
For newcomers looking for jobs in this field, it's best to talk more with the HR of the other party; the more you talk, the better.
Thank you
Previously, you could rely on trustworthy acquaintances, but now even they might deceive you. It's tough.
Be wary of shady companies, but be even more cautious of shady intermediaries.
