Recently, an incident of employee abuse occurred at the Mupai AI Park, which garnered widespread public attention after related videos were exposed. Following the incident, the Mupai police and the gendarmerie quickly took action, raiding the involved company yesterday and taking all related personnel away for investigation.
According to netizens, the company has been exploiting workers for a long time, especially Vietnamese employees, who not only suffer inhumane treatment daily but were also prohibited from going home during the Spring Festival. Unable to endure further, about 20 Vietnamese workers attempted to collectively flee the park yesterday, but while some were recaptured, only a few managed to escape.
Moreover, early yesterday morning, more than ten Vietnamese workers tried to escape but were unsuccessful. Two of them clashed with security guards, stabbing two before fleeing back to the park, leading to further standoffs. Subsequently, dozens of police officers and gendarmes entered the park and searched the employee dormitories one by one, trying to locate the involved workers. The whereabouts of these two workers are still unknown.
The identities of the company's owner, He Yikun (nickname "Old Hu"), and his wife, Wu Huirong, have been exposed. The company is accused of chaotic management and malicious exploitation of foreign workers, sparking significant controversy. The investigation is still ongoing, and further developments are awaited from official announcements.
