Recently, I've seen many high-paying recruitment ads on Telegram for customer service and promotion roles, promising monthly salaries of 2000U-2500U, claiming short working hours, 6 days off per month, home leave every six months, and substantial bonuses. They say the work environment is relaxed, colleagues are harmonious, and there is no backstabbing.
But I must tell everyone, these are all complete scams! They paint a rosy picture on the plane, but once you land in Southeast Asia, reality will make you question your life.
1. Work intensity is overloaded, pushed to the limit
The actual working hours far exceed the promises, basically no days off all year!
Working over 12 hours a day, you have to hurry even when going to the bathroom, and meals are timed. After eating, you must immediately return to work.
At most, you get 1-2 days off per month, sometimes none at all. The so-called "one day off" is actually just half a day, either morning or afternoon, it's not a real holiday.
No holidays even during the Spring Festival, everyone is treated like slaves, there is absolutely no freedom.
2. Highly enclosed management, you can't leave
There are fully armed guards at the company entrance, and security guards watch over the company floors 24 hours a day, making it nearly impossible to escape.
As soon as you join, the company takes your passport, claiming it's for your safety, fearing you might lose it, but it's actually to prevent you from escaping.
Want to resign? You can, but first, you have to pay! If you want to leave, the company will make you pay a huge sum, supposedly for "your plane tickets, visa, and accommodation costs," but the actual amount is 5 times more or even higher.
3. Actual salary is much lower than promised, currency exchange rates cheat you by 10-15%
The salary promised is 2000U, but mostly paid in pesos locally. When you convert it to USDT or RMB, you lose 10-15% due to exchange rates, equivalent to working for free for over ten days.
The hourly wage is ridiculously low, even worse than the minimum wage in China. You work 996 and earn a salary comparable to that of a third or fourth-tier city.
Various deductions from salary, such as "50% salary during training period," "deductions for not meeting performance targets," "deductions for failing behavior assessments," etc., not receiving full salary is the norm.
4. Abnormal workplace environment, all colleagues are smokers
The entire office reeks of cigarette smoke, almost everyone smokes, and there's even a designated smoking room in the office area, the air quality is terrible.
The mental pressure is immense, everyone is like a walking corpse, you'll see many people with pale faces, working long nights and overtime, as if their souls have been hollowed out.
Internal backstabbing is severe, especially those who climb higher in positions, their methods are ruthless, completely unscrupulous.
5. Want to escape? Prepare to pay a large sum
You can resign without penalty only after six months or a year, but during this period, you have no freedom unless your family is willing to pay a large sum to redeem you.
The compensation is outrageously high, the company claims it's for your plane tickets, visa, customs, insurance, etc., but later they demand you pay back more than 5 times, which is unaffordable for most people.
Internal reporting is rampant, no one can be trusted, casually chatting with someone might be reported to your boss the next day, making your chances of escaping zero.
6. Southeast Asia is not what you think, human life is extremely cheap
"Call the police if something happens"? Don't be naive! The police here either don't care or are in cahoots with the company, and you end up having to go back to work.
If you dare to run, they'll catch you and bring you back, some even end up worse off. This isn't like back home, the company can mess with you at no cost, physically assaulting and confining you is the norm.
If you stay in this industry long, you'll realize many people have lost their humanity, only the wolfish nature remains, every day you see the coldest and most disgusting aspects of human nature.
7. You can resign from a bad job in China, here it's like a servitude contract
Even the worst job in China allows you to resign if you're mistreated, but here, you have absolutely no right to resign.
Before you go, you might think the salary in China is low, but only after arriving in Southeast Asia will you understand what it's like for the real bottom-tier workers.
The only thing you can truly appreciate is the value of freedom, life safety is more important than money.
If you still want to go, ask yourself these questions
✅ Can you tolerate endless cigarette smoke?
✅ Can you stare at a computer for 12 hours?
✅ Can you accept working all year round with timed bathroom breaks?
✅ Are you willing to have your passport withheld and pay 5 times the fees if you want to resign?
✅ Are you willing to accept a salary reduced by 10-15% and various deductions?
If you can accept all these, then you are well-suited for a job at a Southeast Asian gambling company.
But if you still have a bit of sanity, please share this post with your friends and family, don't let them be deceived!
I'm not the first victim, nor will I be the last.
🔴 Don't be fooled by high salaries, Southeast Asian gambling companies are modern-day slave camps!
Regret! Beware of Southeast Asian gambling company scams, personal experience tells you the truth!

The original poster should hurry up and reform, and then I'll go to your company. Otherwise, isn't it painless just to talk?
Bad money drives out good.
"Full six months without deductible," but the question is, can you survive half a year?
Many are voluntary, buddy, you can't persuade them.

Working has become like being in prison, why don't I just go to prison instead?

There are still legitimate ones; you can't generalize them all.
