Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Anutin has recently called for an investigation into the electricity supply issues in Myanmar, specifically targeting Myawaddy. If fraud, telecommunication scams, money laundering, or human trafficking are discovered, there might be a direct cut-off of electricity.
Sounds intense, right? But those who know, understand that if it weren't for the Wang Xing incident escalating and pressure from China, Thailand would not bother with this issue. For many years, Myawaddy has been a haven for telecommunication fraud, and Thailand has turned a blind eye. Now, suddenly they want to regulate? It seems more like a move to appease higher authorities and shift the blame to Myanmar while gaining some favor.
Not to mention, isn't Myawaddy's hydroelectricity, fuel, and logistics all supplied by Thailand? These fraudsters rely on Thailand for everything, even their basic needs. Are you telling me the Thai government didn't know? The scam parks have electricity running all day, air conditioning never stops, and you're telling me Thailand wasn't involved?
Really cutting off the electricity? I doubt it. At most, they'll conduct an "investigation," drag it out for a few months, and then it will all blow over. Or maybe they'll arrest a few people to make an example, just for show, while the core industries continue as usual. The harshest measure might just be relocating the Myawaddy scam groups to a more concealed location.
Anyway, just wait and see. This move by Thailand is just for show to China. Do they really intend to take serious action? Unlikely. Moreover, generating their own electricity isn't an issue for them, so this tactic is practically useless.
Thailand wants to cut off Myanmar's electricity, just listen to it.

Wang Xing is really awesome, what about those wronged souls?
The bros really go all out in acting.
So rich, can't afford a generator? Do something practical.
The power of Dongda, everyone is just going through the motions.
There's no use in cutting the power, why not just send the army to crush them if it's uncomfortable?

Messo has always cooperated with Eastern Myanmar, and anyone who escapes from there will be sent back to the park by Messo police. It's very corrupt, I'd be surprised if he actually fights.
Indeed, it is so.

Do you think Thailand doesn't have a share in those industrial parks in Eastern Myanmar? There's a whole chain of interests involved.

This Thai thing is just for show; it really can't fight.
It's just a formality.
