According to the National Security Bureau's press office, local police arrested a total of 81 individuals during the operation, including 29 Chinese citizens suspected of engaging in telecommunications fraud and 18 Vietnamese individuals.
During the operation, the police also seized a large number of tools used in the crimes: including 260 mobile phones, 118 laptops and desktop computers, 7 Starlink devices, 5 gaming consoles, and 3 cars, all suspected to be used for online gambling and other related illegal activities.
As reported by the Military Commission, these arrested foreign suspects will be deported back to their respective countries in batches according to their nationalities. The government is closely cooperating with the international community to intensify efforts to crack down on illegal online gambling, money laundering, and other criminal activities. Government officials from various regions and states are also actively taking measures to eliminate local illegal activities. Currently, a joint task force, including security forces, is continuously conducting search operations to thoroughly eradicate the hotbeds of illegal and criminal activities.
