Repost: My Experience of Being Raped in the Dormitory of Intech Company in the Philippines

After much thought, I decided to share why I started writing articles to help others.

I am a victim who was repeatedly raped and sexually harassed by a married male employee at the dormitory of AG Group Intech company. The severe harm I suffered made me vow never to let more women endure the same pain, which is why I bravely spoke the truth, hoping to raise awareness among female employees (and also to complain about my terrible former company 😁).

I didn't want to say much because it would lead to a lot of defamation, threats, and harassment towards me. For instance, some men would say, "She didn't dare to speak up at first, there must be something wrong with this woman, I would rape her too if I knew."

However, time has passed, and I can now talk about these past events. With the help of the Taiwanese government and friends, I have access to abundant resources, a safe environment, and a good job, for which I am very grateful.

These articles haven't earned me a penny; instead, they have brought me a lot of criticism and threats. But I am happy if they can help more people become more vigilant or better protect themselves.

From 2019 to 2021, while I had a boyfriend, I was repeatedly raped by the same married male employee who broke into the company dormitory (as it was co-ed accommodation):

1️⃣ He would burst in, throw me onto the bed, and immediately rape me.

2️⃣ Or he would burst in, sit at the corner of the bed, and when I ran over screaming "get out," he would hold me and rape me.

3️⃣ Or he would burst in, lie on my roommate's bed refusing to leave, and when I tried to run out, he would throw me back into the room, forcing me to sit on the bed and persuade him to leave, at which point he would come over and rape me.

4️⃣ He also suddenly grabbed my breasts (which can cause a woman's mind to go blank), and while I was stunned, he would throw me onto the bed and rape me.

Basically, his actions were:

➡ Rushing back and forth

➡ Quick to act

➡ Quick to remove his pants

➡ Always had a condom in his pocket, ready to use

➡ Sometimes he would just lift my skirt and penetrate

So not every time involved using a condom.

Moreover, he repeatedly dragged me behind safety doors to molest me:

🚨 He would hide behind safety doors, watch colleagues pass by, and when a target approached, he would burst out and drag them inside.

🚨 His molesting actions included pressing me against the wall, moving his lower body back and forth over me, or jumping on me like an octopus and pinning me to the ground, preventing me from leaving.

Besides, he used the company's internal systems and various media to harass and threaten me, preventing me from speaking out.

From the beginning, I didn't know what to do, was confused, scared, cried secretly every day, and my mind was blank...

And he kept brainwashing me:

💬 "You have a boyfriend but still sleep with others, you are indecent, a slut."

This kind of mental attack left me extremely confused and self-blaming, and also delayed my seeking legal help.

Eventually, I decided to report to the company, call the police, and actively sought a Filipino lawyer to handle the case.

I thought the company would protect me and investigate the matter, but instead, they suppressed and ignored it.

How the company shirked responsibility and responded coldly:

📌 I submitted several screenshots of harassment, but HR casually replied, "He said his account was hacked."

📌 I asked HR to check the dormitory surveillance, but HR said, "This requires legal action."

📌 I told my leader Eason, and he just said, "Go back to Taiwan, or handle it yourself."

📌 I expressed fear, and HR said, "That's your personal feeling, if you're scared, you can go back to Taiwan."

📌 I asked the company's legal department to intervene, but HR said, "This doesn't stand legally." (But my lawyer immediately advised me to call the police and provided various methods)

📌 I said he was stalking me in the dormitory, but HR said, "Then turn around and take a photo for me."

📌 I asked if the company could change my name, HR said, "No." (Although other managers could change their names, HR said, "That's a different matter.")

Faced with HR's firm refusal to fire this employee, and no protective measures from the management department, I didn't know what to do. At the suggestion of a colleague, I could only write to the then CEO-Frank for help.

💥 As a result, the perpetrator was only "advised to resign," with no investigation conducted.

But because of this, I faced:

❌ Various threats, sarcasms, and suppressions from leader Eason, department head Kenji, the other department head Mew, HR-Juddyann, HR-Gia, and the HR director.

Various threats from the company:

"I have a legal background, you know, you better tell the truth." (An immediate threat that made me even more afraid)

"This doesn't stand legally." (But completely no legal department involvement)

"This is a private dispute."

"Handle it yourself."

"You didn't clarify things initially, take your boyfriend and talk it out with him."

"Shameful."

"You have to bear the public opinion pressure yourself."

I and HR reported to the police, but HR played dumb: "I don't understand this matter, this guy just didn't come back, why did you also resign? Anyway, he's gone, now it's your problem to handle."

I also mentioned that companies in Taiwan would call the police, but HR actually said, "Then go back to Taiwan."

In the end, the company offered no apology and no protective measures.

Back in Taiwan, I realized I should have been protected

After returning to Taiwan, I received various government benefits, including:

✅ Social worker intervention

✅ Legal aid

✅ Psychological counseling

✅ Immigration protection measures

All these, the government didn't charge me a penny, which made me realize that only in a country governed by law are victims truly protected.

Why do I write articles?

💬 Not for money—these articles haven't earned me any income, but have subjected me to a lot of criticism and threats.

💬 To raise awareness, especially among female employees, not to easily enter the dark environment of the gambling industry.

💬 To let those who have experienced similar things know they are not alone.

The gambling industry may look glamorous on the surface, but it is filled with corruption, crime, sexual harassment, violence, and exploitation.

If you are preparing to enter the gambling industry, are you really ready to face these?

Conclusion: The best decision of my life—leaving the gambling industry!

🔹 Now, I have a stable job and plan to study in a graduate school for psychological counseling, hoping to help more victims.

🔹 My income is gradually recovering, even approaching the salary standards I had in the gambling industry.

🔹 I have finally escaped that dirty environment and gained true freedom in my heart.

If this article can prevent even one person from stepping into this dark abyss, then all my efforts are worth it.

I hope everyone who reads this article can stay away from danger and live a truly free and safe life! ❤️

I do not intend to criticize the victim. It is normal for one's brain to not immediately comprehend being sexually assaulted. However, why did they not leave after being continuously assaulted for three years?

I have female friends around me who have experienced sexual assault. Honestly, besides offering empathy, I don't know how to comfort her. I hope time can help you move past all this.
