The President of the Philippines' Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) recently announced that human trafficking charges have been officially filed against 20 individuals involved in an illegal POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators) center in Parañaque City.

The scam center is located near ATI, primarily engaging in investment and "romance scams."

Gilbert Cruz, head of PAOCC, revealed that the POGO scam center is operated by Chinese nationals, with core activities involving investment fraud and "pig-butchering" style romance scams.

During a raid on February 22, 453 individuals were arrested.

The center was raided by authorities on February 22, resulting in the arrest of 453 individuals, including 307 Filipinos, 137 Chinese, 3 Vietnamese, 2 Malaysians, 2 Thais, 1 Indonesian, and 1 person from Taiwan.

Among them, the 20 suspects charged include:

18 Chinese nationals

2 Filipino nationals

Vietnamese women report, exposing cryptocurrency scam details

Three Vietnamese women reported to the authorities that they were initially recruited as models, but were forced to participate in scams upon arrival, deceiving victims into investing in cryptocurrencies through social platforms. They have now become key witnesses in the case and have directly identified the masterminds involved.

The case has been transferred to the Department of Justice, and the suspects will face legal sanctions

The Philippine police stated that the POGO center was not only involved in scam activities but also lacked a legal operating license. Colonel Marlon Quimno, head of the CIDG Capital Region, stated that the case has been handed over to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for processing, and the suspects will face corresponding legal sanctions.

The police urge the public to actively report suspicious activities to maintain public order and prevent similar scam groups from continuing to operate.

It turns out that it was reported after all; no one cares if it isn't reported.
