Personal Experience Sharing: Key Points to Note When Traveling to the Philippines Now

I left the Philippines before December last year; it's too hard to make money domestically, so I decided to come to the Philippines.

In January, I found a travel agency on Taobao, the price was a little over 1000, and the necessary documents included a work certificate and bank card statements, which are quite important. I also needed social security, but since I didn't have it, I bought a rural and urban resident social security for 200 a year, which can also be used as social security.

However, the visa interview required me to go to Shanghai. I queued up in January and then went for the interview in March. When I arrived in Shanghai, the travel agency had prepared everything in advance, including round-trip flight tickets and hotel reservations; they handled all these for me.

I had been to the Philippines many times before. During the visa interview, they only asked me how many times I had been to the Philippines, then they stamped my passport and let me go. I had a POGO record and was blacklisted, but I left the Philippines ahead of time.

My trip to the Philippines was directly from Shanghai to the Philippines. They didn't ask me much, just what I was going to do, and I said I was going for tourism. I had to book my own hotel and flight tickets, and the duration of the hotel stay had to match exactly, as customs would check.

When I arrived in the Philippines and went through customs, because of my POGO record, I was taken to a small interrogation room. For those who end up in the small room, don't panic.

I don't speak English. After entering the small room, my passport was taken for questioning. During the questioning, they wrote a form to confirm that my visit to the Philippines was indeed for tourism.

The required documents included the purpose of your visit, evidence of hotel bookings, and preferably a Visa card to prove your spending capability. You also needed to provide a work certificate from your home country to show that you have a job and are only visiting the Philippines for tourism. They would ask about your itinerary, where you plan to visit, and what you did previously in the Philippines. Just think about these questions and answer them yourself. Idiots should not come.
