The Philippines Bureau of Immigration stated that on Friday evening, law enforcement raided a commercial building on Macapagal Avenue in Pasay City, targeting a site suspected of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO), and arrested 49 foreigners.
This operation was jointly conducted by the Bureau of Immigration and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), based on a mission order against the scam center.
In a statement released on Saturday, the Bureau of Immigration noted that these foreign suspects were arrested for operating on a fraudulent online platform disguised as a legitimate digital service company. Investigators found that the scam group used various digital platforms to target victims both domestically and internationally.
