Chiang Mai is in danger! The police encourage locals to report foreigners!

Thailand's 5th Police District recently issued a notice, calling on the public in the Chiang Mai area to actively provide information on illegal activities by foreigners, focusing on those involved in money laundering, illegal entry, grey Chinese capital, and gambling. The police hope to strengthen the inspection and rectification actions in the northern Thailand area with the help of public reports.

The police specifically pointed out that the "grey Chinese capital" is currently infiltrating several major cities in Thailand through illegal means, with Chiang Mai being one of the hardest-hit areas. These criminals often operate under the guise of investment, but in reality, they engage in illegal money laundering, operate gambling websites, manipulate real estate transactions, and other transnational crimes, severely affecting social order and economic stability.

This announcement indicates that the Thai police have focused their attention on foreigners in Chiang Mai, especially Chinese involved in grey capital, and expect to increase enforcement efforts in the future.
