Dubai's atmosphere has recently become tense again, and telecom fraud will eventually be eradicated.

I'm not involved in telecom fraud, but I've always despised it because it has ruined the ecosystem in Dubai, severely compressing the living space for us as BC practitioners. I've also seen many people in TG groups saying that there's no telecom fraud in Dubai anymore, and the leaders are brainwashing everyone saying Dubai is very safe, but that's not entirely accurate.

1️⃣ Telecom fraud still exists in Dubai, just not as overtly as before, mostly operating discreetly in small parks or residential houses.

2️⃣ The recent crackdown is mainly because in the past few years, telecom fraud has led to multiple robberies and violent conflicts, and due to the negative international impact, the government started to focus on cleaning up.

3️⃣ The real large-scale sweep started in 2024, after which indeed many telecom fraud teams gradually withdrew, moving to Pakistan, Georgia, and some even to Sharjah, Ajman, and recently even Oman has become a new stronghold.

4️⃣ But with these people gone, what's left is a shattered ecosystem. The Chinese restaurants, fast food, and delivery services that had formed around the telecom fraud community all suffered greatly. Many people who opened these businesses did so because "those people" were there, but once they left, the economic chain was also broken.

As for deeper details, it's not convenient to elaborate, but one thing is certain: telecom fraud hasn't completely disappeared, it has just changed in form and location, but it is still alive.
