Thailand cannot be stayed for long.

Due to various reasons in the current environment, which many have already mentioned, including factors like high-speed rail, tourism, and the upcoming opening of casinos, it's not really suitable for "playing wild" anymore.

In the current situation, "playing wild" in Thailand has become very dangerous, far less safe than in Sri Lanka or other countries. Moreover, Thais are very keen on reporting; they immediately call the police upon spotting a Chinese person. Regarding visas, many previously could obtain a DTV, but now this route has become nearly impossible. Recently, there have been many crackdowns on student visas as well. Many are left with no choice but to stay illegally after visa-free entry, which often leads to trouble, either being chased by the police or immigration authorities. It's quite miserable.

In any case, if you run into trouble while "playing wild" in Thailand, there's basically no rescue; you'll just be sent back to your home country without any explanation.
