My friend stayed in Sunshine for over half a year and personally witnessed more than twenty Chinese being taken out during the day alone; the situation at night or unseen is even more unknown.
Many people incarcerated in Sunshine already have illnesses, but even if you have health issues, PAOCC generally won't care unless you are willing to pay. For example, Yang Jianxin, who coughed up blood a few days ago and was sent to the hospital, only got out because he paid. If you don't have money, you're basically waiting to die there, with no one to help you.
In Sunshine Prison, Chinese really have no dignity at all, treated as if they are not human. From what I know, among those twenty-some deceased Chinese, most had sought help from the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, but ultimately received no response.
