I've been browsing job postings from various places these past few days and have casually summarized a few sentences, all of which are true statements.

Let me mention a few places:

In Japan, they only recruit for technical positions. Ordinary people dreaming of going there shouldn't bother, as the barriers are high and skills must directly match.

In Malaysia, I interviewed for a risk control position, working 12 days with 4 days off, cash-based, and the salary isn't great, but at least they don't hold onto your passport.

In Thailand, as far as I know, there are only 3 companies operating: DB, B Sports, and Kai Y.

Now, regarding the internal industry situation:

Kai Y has the lowest barriers to entry; anyone can get in, but the compensation is also the worst.

B is medium level; they recruit based on qualifications but aren't too rigid.

DB currently offers the best compensation, but the barriers are really high. Even for ordinary positions, they are very strict, and the interviews require "bluffing and performing." I'm not good at selling myself, so I didn't even qualify to enter.

A former colleague recommended me for DB, but I used a 4-year-old account and it failed; now even recommendations are useless.

My English isn't bad, but I still couldn't break into DB. They now prefer candidates who are excellent in English and have rich experience, which is completely different from before.

A bit of reflection:

After succeeding in an interview, I don't even want to go. Honestly, the gambling industry doesn't hold much promise anymore. Many positions only sound appealing, like "convert 1 to 12k + 2000 performance bonus," but once you're in, you realize it's just that, and it's exhausting.

Sometimes I really don't understand what's the point of working in this industry. With unstable policies in various countries and fewer companies and opportunities, even I am hesitating whether I should completely change careers.

Sometimes I think, why bother with this dog's work.

Why are you still staying in an industry you are pessimistic about? Just go back and turn yourself in.

When looking for a job, you must first consider your own level; always being picky.
