When will the Philippines be peaceful?

I originally thought that after a year or two of many arrests in the Philippines, the illegal platforms would have disappeared, and the criminals would have gone too. The government should have arrested all these stupid kidnappers and murderers, but there are still so many kidnappings and murders happening, from the case of the British school children to the recent kidnapping of an elderly Chinese man. The public safety here is never peaceful.

I still remember from 2014 to 2018, the public safety in the Philippines was not good either, but most of the crimes were committed by locals. Unexpectedly, the tables have turned, and now the Chinese control the underground order here. I hope the government can be more effective and provide a way for us who are legally staying in the Philippines to survive. We don't dislike this country, but we just hope for more safety.
