According to a report by the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group, the bodies of Mr. Guo and his driver were discovered by local residents at 6 AM on April 9th in Macabud, Rodriguez, Rizal Province, at Sitio Udiongan. They appeared to have been tortured before death, with signs of being bound on their chests and arms.
The Anti-Kidnapping Group received the report at 2:15 PM. Initial police investigations showed that the bodies were placed in a nylon bag, tied with nylon rope, and their faces were bound with tape, abandoned in the bushes along the road leading to Macabud.
