Malaysian police and Chinese public security launched a joint operation codenamed "Thunder" in Kuala Lumpur, precisely targeting 7 scam dens. In a pre-dawn raid, Malaysian special police and Chinese officers moved out simultaneously, seizing a large number of crime tools on-site, including hundreds of mobile phones hanging from the ceiling, USB drives soaked in toilets, and densely packed scam "performance walls."
During the operation, 126 suspects, mainly from Fujian, were arrested. On-site data recovery showed that the daily call record at a single point reached up to 8000 times, with scripts mainly targeting domestic victims in China.
At the scene, a Chinese overseas businessman spontaneously raised a banner saying "Thank you, homeland police" to express his gratitude. It is reported that his mother had recently been swindled out of her life savings by a scam gang.
After the operation, the Chinese and Malaysian police forces destroyed 5 dens and arrested 153 people within three months, involving a total amount of 220 million yuan, marking a new phase in the Sino-Malaysian cooperation against cross-border telecom fraud.

China and Malaysia join forces in a lightning raid, busting a cyber fraud den in Kuala Lumpur, capturing 126 suspects from Fujian.
