April 25, 2025 update: The super bosses I know

My friend privately messaged me that his content was "stolen" by a channel, which is quite normal in the TG ecosystem where most channels rely on reposting and fabricating. Instead of trying to prevent theft, it's better to embrace an open mindset. A reminder to the reposters: it's okay to carry content, but please mark the source.

Today, let's talk about the "super bosses" I know, limited by TG's length, I'll keep it brief. "Super" is defined as the owner of a well-known company in the industry with cumulative revenue exceeding 1 billion. To protect their privacy, I will not mention company names or personal names, and there is no need for readers to match them to real people, maybe I'm also making this up.

Mr. A: We have been closely interacting for about a year, having met many times in Taiwan and the Philippines. Mr. A is very refined, an atypical boss, fluent in English, handsome and confident, and likes to laugh; he has a high business vision and is a social networking expert. After turning his company's original business into a "cash cow," he used platform capabilities to acquire and invest in many companies, multiplying the company's performance in a few years. His motto is: "Living is for experiencing."

Mr. B: Slightly overweight, with a pleasant smile, he treated me like a brother at our first meeting at a Pan-Asia KTV, which is also a social habit of such bosses. He is easy to get along with. During the meeting, he spoke a lot about his experiences, such as attending university in the Philippines, starting a travel agency after graduation, and joining the gambling industry with the first batch of practitioners there, then starting his own business. His business was initially dependent on advertising in European leagues, and he emphasized that their bold bets on league billboards were hugely successful.

Mr. C: Not very articulate, a heavy smoker, my impression of him is that he sleeps very little and works upon waking. He likes to lock himself in his office to deeply study the business, and once he steps out, he brings blockbuster products to his team. An extreme lover of the gambling industry, at his peak, he nearly dominated the traffic of his category, pursuing perfection in products and obsessively focusing on user experience. This led to his later gambling empire.

Mr. D: My golf buddy, who made his fortune through a slot machine platform, is my favorite boss friend. About 1.8 meters tall, he socializes less, but has good golf skills, though he gained weight later due to lack of exercise. My most vivid memory of him is when he messaged me on TG one day asking me to help him sell a boat, I said I could, and he sent over two Azimuts parked in Victoria Harbour, each worth a hundred million, I told him he thought highly of me, my friends can't afford it, I couldn't help him.

Limited by length, I'll write about these four.

They all have one thing in common: they are not from ivory towers. Mr. A even came from a poor family and made his way out by learning English on his own. The era that made them was because they had extraordinary courage, were willing to work hard, willing to study, continuously improve themselves, and face difficulties head-on.

And their best quality, created by their tenacious vitality, is their immense personal charm, just as Mr. A said, living is for experiencing. Although most have lost contact due to industry turbulence and personal choices, their character lives forever in my heart.

A word of encouragement to entrepreneurs like me who are still on the road.

Now the gambling industry's average per capita is ten billion, one billion can't make it to the table anymore.
