Why do many companies prefer to stay in the Philippines rather than move to other countries? Aren't other countries appealing? In terms of public safety, living conditions, and the level of government corruption, they are far ahead, right?

Not everyone is Yabo.
The biggest problem is unfamiliarity with other countries.
They have been moving gradually, it's not that they haven't.
It must be so; there's no need to leave before something happens, but once it does, there's a frantic departure.
Do you think they don't want to leave?

People who are stuck in the past do not move forward.
If something happens here, at least someone can bail you out. If something happens in Thailand or somewhere else, who cares about you?
No matter where, it's always jungling, why not stay in a familiar place?
Many of us, including the boss, have settled down and established businesses in the Philippines, where we can go.
The relocation cost is very high.
