On June 17th, immigration police in Chonburi Province, Thailand, in collaboration with multiple departments from Pattaya City, raided an illegal gambling den located in a group 9 apartment building in Nong Pru Village, Bang Lamung County.
At the scene, the police detained 21 Chinese nationals involved in gambling and seized a large amount of gambling equipment, including poker cards and cash chips. The incident occurred in an 8-story apartment building where the second-floor lobby had been transformed into a fully equipped casino, featuring one poker table and two fishing game machines. Multiple mobile phones were also found at the site.
Witnesses reported that some gamblers attempted to flee to the 8th-floor rooms during the raid. Upon pursuing them, the police discovered various electronic devices and computer monitors in the rooms, though it is still unclear whether these devices are linked to telecom fraud gangs or online gambling. Further investigations are underway to expand the results of the operation.
