According to Thai media reports on July 14, Chiang Mai police found a male body wrapped in three layers of plastic in a forest in Mae Rim County, preliminarily identified as Yang, a previously missing Chinese citizen, aged between 24 and 30.
The case reveals that Yang was earlier demanded a ransom of 3 million Thai Baht and then went missing, prompting his family to contact the police. Investigations found that Yang and his friend Hu had been involved in the grey industry in the Golden Triangle of Laos and were kidnapped after entering Thailand together on July 8.
Hu told the police that he was also detained and released after paying 1.5 million Thai Baht, while Yang faced misfortune due to his family's failure to raise the funds. However, the police are skeptical of Hu's testimony and have launched further investigations to determine his involvement in the case.
Currently, two other Chinese suspects, Wang and Zhang, have emerged; one has fled Thailand, and the other has returned to China. Relevant departments are assisting in the investigation and promoting international cooperation to apprehend and bring them to justice. The case is still under thorough investigation.

The case of a Chinese man being kidnapped and murdered continues to ferment, with an accompanying appointee possibly involved!

Caught and executed immediately.

In the next life, don't get involved in the gray market anymore.
Is it possible that it's revenge rather than kidnapping? I've never seen a kidnapping that only extorts 3 million Thai baht.
It's a dog-eat-dog world.
Inside job
Are kidnappers so unambitious? They only extort such a small amount of money.
It's really sad that we can't even gather 300,000.
Don't go to Thailand in your next life.
