Thai police recently launched another major crackdown, successfully dismantling a fraud syndicate targeting elderly Chinese people. The case was uncovered in Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai, where the criminal group disguised as a "financial investment platform" to deceive victims over a long period, involving an amount of up to 100 million yuan.
According to the report from the Royal Thai Police, law enforcement raided a mansion in Ban Wang town, Chiang Mai Province, at the beginning of this month, arresting 17 suspects on the spot, including 14 Chinese citizens (11 men and 3 women) and 3 Myanmar nationals. Police found 10 computers and 26 mobile phones at the scene used for the crime.
The police revealed that the gang developed fake financial apps and investment websites, precisely targeting Chinese users aged between 60 and 80, guiding them to invest through scripted conversations and creating the illusion of high returns. Preliminary analysis shows that the number of victims has exceeded 100,000, with the amount involved exceeding 500 million Thai baht.
The case is still under further investigation, and Thai authorities have contacted Chinese departments for cooperation in handling the matter. The police remind the public to be vigilant and beware of "high return" and "zero risk" investment traps, especially to protect the financial safety of elderly family members.

One by one, execute by firing squad.
Looking at the faces of the people in the photo, none of them seem very intelligent. How can they deceive others?
This photo clearly shows working in a villa.
