Recently, the Thai Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, in collaboration with multiple departments, launched a raid targeting a high-end residential community in Pathum Thani. A illegal gambling website named "Auto888vip" was hidden there, and its operator, Thawisa, only 30 years old, was arrested on the spot.
The police seized cash amounting to 28.5 million Thai Baht (approximately 5.6 million RMB) from his master bedroom, and subsequently confiscated several luxury cars, various luxury brand watches, high-end clothing, mobile devices, and property documents, with a total estimated value exceeding 60 million Thai Baht.
Investigations revealed that the platform had been secretly operating for over two years, with an average monthly active player count exceeding 3,000, and a monthly fund turnover of 20 million Thai Baht. Initially, Thawisa hired people to withdraw gambling funds, but later he took matters into his own hands, withdrawing up to a million Thai Baht in cash daily and hiding it in various corners of his residence to evade seizure.
Currently, the Thai police are thoroughly investigating the technical team and money laundering network behind him, and the case is still under investigation.
