On July 9, 2024, Roger Parkes, Betway Group esteemed Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, has announced his departure from the leading company after nearly a decade of committed service. A key figure in shaping Betway's compliance framework, Parkes revealed his decision to rest, recharge and reflect before pursuing his next career challenge.
Betway says goodbye to industry veterans Parkes joined in July 2015 Betway, serves as global head of compliance and regulatory affairs and is based in London. In June 2018, he moved to Malta where, due to his tireless efforts, he was promoted to Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. Parkes’ tenure has seen him manage key areas such as regulatory compliance, licensing, betting integrity, customer welfare, know your customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML).
Looking back on his time at Betway, Parkes noted that he knew instantly to the company’s potential. He added that his efforts played a key role in securing the company's SGHC and NYSE listings, as he introduced an efficient compliance culture and corporate governance and contributed to major restructuring efforts.

Before his influential role at Betway, Parkes A diverse career in the gambling and compliance sectors. He has served on the Gambling Commission, initially as Remote and Technical Advisor from July 2006 and later as Senior Manager of Divisions and Themes from April 2014. In between these roles, he spent almost six years as Group Compliance Director at Betfair.
