July 10, 2024, from Buenos Aires Professionals from the Problem Consumption and Addiction Observatory of the Provincial Public Prosecutor's Office in Leith were called in by the local municipality to conduct three seminars on online gambling and the prevention of gambling addiction. The events took place at the Jardín N°1 cinema in Trenque Lauquen and saw the participation of mothers, fathers, teachers and students from different educational institutions in the area.
The day was declared through a decree signed by Mayor Francisco Recoulat Of municipal significance, he opened the seminar together with Valentín Miranda, Chairman of the Addictions Committee of the House of Representatives of the Province of Buenos Aires. The organization also has the cooperation of the Regional Education Bureau, headed by Hugo Paoltroni.
Francisco Recoulat emphasized: “In May, we passed a laws to address this issue. The importance of these debates in different areas shows that this is not a problem unique to large cities, but also affects towns in inland areas."
