Roderick Paul Pujaante, the business partner of controversial Mayor Alice Guo (Philippines), has amassed a multi-million-peso fortune in just four years, despite officially declaring his main source of income as a water station.
An investigation by the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) revealed that Pujante had extensive business dealings with companies owned by Guo. The suspended Tarlac mayor is under investigation for his alleged involvement in the illegal operations of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO). She faces intense scrutiny for possible links to POGO centers involved in human trafficking, fraud and other illegal activities.
Pujaante owns J and P Water Supply and is one of the three founders of Zun Yuan Technology, a BPO operating out of the Bamban Baofu Compound in Tarlac, where he also serves as treasurer.
Companies Pujaante is involved with include Guo’s QJJ Farm and Inofinity International Trading.
The Anti-Money Laundering Council detected 22 suspicious transactions totaling P33.9 million in Puyante's bank accounts.
"These transactions were far beyond what one would expect given Puyant's declared income from water stations," the Anti-Money Laundering Council said in a report published by Bilyonaryo.
Zun Yuan Technology became the Philippine offshore gaming operator that took over Hongsheng after a police raid in 2023.
