After a brief pause for adjustments, Jade SportsBet is back online. Jade Entertainment and Gaming Technologies said in a news release that this downtime allows the company to enhance its product offerings and ensure a better experience for customers. A notable change is the introduction of a minimum stake of 10 pesos (€0.16), making the platform more attractive to a wider audience.
The development was first shared with SiGMA News by Joe Pisano, founder and CEO of Jade Entertainment and Gaming Technologies. The operational suspension was implemented in May, when the company informed customers that Jade SportsBet was undergoing "system maintenance" and player trading was temporarily unavailable. The company is one of 22 companies listed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) authorized to operate sports betting in the Philippines.
Increase PAGCOR security deposit
An important update during the suspension is the increase in Jade SportsBet's PAGCOR security deposit from 15 million pesos to 25 million pesos (from 235,752 euros to 392,920 euros).
“At Jade SportsBet, we prioritize responsible gaming and customer satisfaction. The increase in PAGCOR’s security deposit demonstrates our commitment to providing a safe and secure platform,” Pisano said in the statement.
Cooperation with BetConstruct
During the downtime, Jade SportsBet said it also used the time to discuss and plan its product offering with its platform provider BetConstruct. BetConstruct recently won the “Best Sports Betting Platform” award at the Global Gaming Awards at a ceremony in Manila.
