Groupe Partouche has released financial data for the first half of fiscal 2024, covering the period from November 2023 to April 2024.
Turnover for the period reached €220.6 million ($235.77 million), up 2.3% year-on-year, while gross gaming revenue (GGR) also increased 1.7% to €346.9 million.
The group did experience a decline in EBITDA, however, falling 4% to €41.0 million (18.6% of turnover) compared with €42.7 million (19.8% of turnover) in the same period last year.
Groupe Partouche's overall current operating income (COI) fell in the first half of 2024, with hotels and land-based casinos posting losses and renovations causing operating difficulties at several of its casinos. However, its online gambling operations in Merlin, Switzerland, and Middelkirk, Belgium, both saw growth.
Looking at total net income, this figure also fell by 62% during the period to €7.1 million.
Financial debt as of April 30, 2024 increased by EUR 11.8 million compared to October 31, 2023 (current and non-current shares).
The company said: “Cash flow after tax was €89.8 million, shareholders’ equity was €367.3 million and net debt was €81.2 million (structured under the terms of the syndicated loan contract, in compliance with original IAS 17 standards, but excluding IFRS 16) ”
