The Royal Thai Police has arrested more than 2,600 suspects linked to illegal gambling, both online and offline, since the start of the UEFA tournament in June.
According to Lieutenant General Akkaradej Phimonsri, deputy director of the National Police, a total of 2,113 suspects were arrested, including 39 illegal bookmakers, 2,052 gamblers and 22 gambling money collectors. The total circulation of illegal betting operations on site was 339,754 baht. . For online illegal gambling operations, 513 suspects were arrested, including 63 online gambling organizers and 450 gamblers, while 142 websites were shut down, involving approximately 1.8 billion baht.

"The Royal Thai Police will continue to crack down on illegal football betting activities," Akarad said.
Recently, Thailand announced that the final draft of the Casino Bill will be reviewed within four weeks. The Thai Prime Minister said this is one of the means to combat the existing illegal gambling industry in Thailand.
