Yesterday (August 6) afternoon, the building at 475 Sta. Monica St, Ermita, Malate, in Santa Monica Street, Malate District, was arrested by the President of the Philippines against organized crime. Three departments including the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, the Bureau of Immigration and the Manila Police conducted a raid.

During the raid, at around 7pm last night, a young Chinese employee of an illegal online gambling and fraud company on the 11th floor of the building jumped down for uncertain reasons, perhaps to escape or to commit suicide.

During the fall, it got stuck in the middle of the steel structure on the second floor of the building.

A person who was stuck on a steel frame and could neither go up nor down tried to jump off the building to escape.

When they found him stuck, the officials who raided the house notified the relevant departments to come to the rescue, and even the fire ladder came. After more than an hour of rescue, around 10 o'clock in the evening, the man was finally rescued.

A 16-second video circulating on social media shows that when the authorities took the online gambling practitioners downstairs to wait for them to be escorted to the detention site, about a dozen practitioners broke free from their restraints and fled. However, it is still unclear whether these people finally escaped.

The reason why the Xindingcai Building was raided can be found in some posts that have been leaked on social networks in recent days.

"The 11th floor shit company forced employees to go to Thailand, and then smuggled them to Myanmar. Those who don't go won't be given passports, wages and commissions (it's been withheld for two months). That's not all, yesterday a few of us ran away secretly, and we didn't want passports. Today I received a threatening call from the supervisor, saying that he would send our work video to China. Xindingcai 1101, this shit company will be struck by lightning! Please help me send it, it's really too much. By the way, how can I get my salary and passport in this situation?"

"My current situation is that I can neither return to China nor go to a third country, nor do I want to move to Myanmar with the company‼️‼I am on a gambling work visa. If I return to China in the next two months, I am afraid I will be arrested, because the country has also received news that returning personnel will definitely be strictly checked during this period. Our company is in the #新鼎彩楼. Two days ago, the company announced that it would move to Myanmar and gather in Thailand first. I naturally don’t want to go, but the shit company won’t give us passports. So my current situation is that I can neither return to China nor go to a third country, nor do I want to move to Myanmar with the company. What should I do in this situation? Please help me with some advice, we are all compatriots. Last night, several of us in the dormitory discussed running away, not wanting passports, and staying in the Philippines first until the storm is over."

It can be seen from these posts that the online gambling miners were obviously forced into a corner by the online gambling mine owners and had no choice but to report their bosses to the Philippine Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission for human trafficking.

We all know that human trafficking is a very useful reason, and reporting to the President's Anti-Organized Crime Commission is very effective, so the Xindingcai Building was raided last night.
