The Nevada Gaming Control Board has ordered Playgon to cease its unlicensed live dealer gaming operations within the state.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) issued a cease and desist order to Playgon Interactive and its affiliate Bitrate Productions, demanding the immediate cessation of unlicensed live dealer content production in a Las Vegas studio.
The order, signed by NGCB Chairman Kirk Hendrick, accuses Bitrate of using live dealers to provide games such as baccarat and roulette, which are broadcast to online casinos worldwide.
In July 2024, the NGCB issued a letter demanding that Playgon, Bitrate, and their respective employees and affiliates stop all unlicensed activities.
Non-compliance could lead to criminal or civil proceedings. The letter states that Nevada law authorizes the NGCB to investigate and prosecute any criminal offenses involving breaches of the Nevada Gaming Control Act.
Chairman Hendrick affirmed: "The NGCB will take all necessary measures to enforce Nevada's gaming laws and regulations."
In February 2024, the NGCB reported that Nevada's gaming revenue grew by 9% month-on-month. Table games contributed $514.6 million, up 24%, while slot machines contributed $827.6 million, a slight increase of 0.6%.
