Illinois lawmakers will present a new iGaming bill in 2025
Illinois State Representative Edgar Gonzalez Jr. (Democrat-Chicago) stated that he intends to introduce a new iGaming bill in 2025. He mentioned that he and other supporters in the assembly are currently drafting a version.
Representative Gonzalez introduced HB 2239 in February 2023. The bill spent nearly a year under review by the House Gaming Committee before being resubmitted to the House Rules Committee, but it did not progress further before the legislative session adjourned.
